About the Author
James R. Evans is a professor in the Department of Operations, Business Analytics, and Information Systems in the Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati. His served as president of the Decision Sciences Institute 1997-1998 and 11 years on the Board of Examiners and Panel of Judges for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. He has been editor of the Quality Management Journal, published by the American Society for Quality, and served on editorial boards of numerous other journals. Dr. Evans has published more than 90 refereed papers and more than 30 editions of books. During the annual Quality Congress in May 2004, the American Society for Quality presented Dr. Evans and co-author Bill Lindsay with the Philip B. Crosby Medal for writing THE MANAGEMENT AND CONTROL OF QUALITY, 6E. The Crosby medal was presented "for authoring a distinguished book contributing significantly to the extension of the philosophy and application of the principles, methods, and techniques of quality management."

William M. Lindsay is Professor Emeritus of Management at Northern Kentucky University. In addition to coauthoring eight editions of MANAGING FOR QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE EXCELLENCE (including predecessors), he is the coauthor of TOTAL QUALITY AND ORGANIZATION DEVELOPMENT. He served as an examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award for four years, as a judge for the Kentucky Quality Award for five years, and as a judge for the Seasongood Innovation Awards for the city of Cincinnati for three years. He is a senior member and past president of the Cincinnati Chapter of the Institute of Industrial Engineers, past president of the Cincinnati Chapter of the Association for Quality and Participation, and a member of the American Society for Quality, in addition to other professional organizations. Dr. Lindsay continues to teach MBA courses in quality management and project management. He serves as a board member of CLASP, a local nonprofit after-school program for elementary-age children, and is an active volunteer at his church. He earned a BSIE from the Georgia Institute of Technology, an MS in engineering from the University of Cincinnati, and an MBA and Ph.D. from Georgia State University.

I’ve been practicing The Work for about 5 years.The first book of Katie’s I read was” Loving What Is”, for a class assignment.The second one I read was, “I need Your Love, Is That True” and the third one was her newest, “A Mind At Home With Itself”. So this read, my fourth one, was a little out of order considering when the other books were written but after reading her newest one, I wanted a little bit more.I’ve always wondered what life looked like for Katie who has been living The Work since February 1986. I mean … how alive is The Work in the One who created it, and how can she state that she has never suffered one little bit since discovering The Work?!This book gives a glimpse into the One. It was refreshing, enlightening, supportive and it validated that even though I am infinite (if that is even, really true), I still have a physical body.I find that the unraveling process, just like The Work, is always in motion … never ceasing. I wonder if I will ever reach that place of indescribable joy that Katie possesses. She can marvel the act of someone pouring her a cup of tea and find such gratitude in the act that it brings her to tears. I have not experienced such gratitude and wonder, but I’d like to.It’s hard not to compare myself to her and wonder if or when I will reach that place that Katie has realized. I could say that I suffer sometimes, but if I question any thought that surrounds any of my suffering, I begin to realize that I never suffer … NEVER! And it is in this ‘Aha’ realization that I understand why Katie has never suffered as well.This is a delicious book! I devoured every page, highlighted scores of lines and added mini Post-IT notes to mark pages. I can return time and time again and get nourished. What’s not to love about that?!So … off I go to experience my joy and gratitude and … question all of my thoughts that cause me any kind of suffering.Join me … won’t you?

I just finished this book and will read it again and again. The Work is amazing. There are many paths to acceptance of what is that speak of observing our thoughts. For me, this simple form of inquiry resonates with Truth and Love. This book is a perfect companion to Self-Inquiry of any kind; to Seekers who think they long for the 'experience' of Non duality; to those who KNOW they are what they seek and still fall prey to the mind-induced illusion of suffering.This book points to the moment-to-moment awakening to what already is, bathed in Perfection and Love. I'm filled with gratitude.

This delightful read is filled with laughs and such a light-filled approach to life that it literally changed my life. A response to the Tao de Ching from a modern spiritual master, this takes enlightenment into everyday average American life and makes it real. You won't find any nonsense or ego here, and you'll laugh in surprise at the fresh honesty in every chapter. Refreshingly, it leaves out any reference to any religion whatsoever, and cuts through dogma like a laser. So simple and clear, tears of joy ran down my cheeks as I read it... again and again. If I want to experience enlightenment, I can do so through this book. Positively life-changing, and my all-time favorite read.

Prof. Jayamangal Prasad is an authority in the field of Non Destructive Testing and Evaluation. He has over the past three and a half decades made significant life time contributions in the development of NDE technology. Prof. Prasad obtained his Master's degree from the University of Patna and University of Sheffield (UK). He has been actively associated with training, development of techniques and test facilities, documentation, R&D and archiving aspects of NDE technology, as the head of Centre of Excellence in NDT at Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. and as the head of NDT projects at aeronautical Development Agency (Light Combat Aircraft Project). He has trained at NDT Centre over thousand NDT engineers/technicians. After retirement from Aeronautical Development Agency, he has served as Specialist Consultant to Government and private organization and academic institutions in areas related to NDE of metallic and composite materials. He is associated with a number of professional associations and is the Founder Chairman of Bangalore Chapter of NDT Society of India. Dr C G Krishnadas Nair is a graduate in metallurgical engineering from IIT Chennai and Ph. D from the University of Sask, Canada. After a brief academic career he joined Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd., and served in many responsible positions and retired as Chairman and Managing Director of the company. After retirement from HAL, he served as Vice Chancellor of Mahaveer Academy of Technology & Science (MATS) University. Currently, he is an AICTE-INAE Distinguished visiting professor at IIT Chennai and Principal Advisor to Jain Group of Educational Institutions. He is associated with a number of Engineering professional Associations and the Founder President of the Society of Indian Aerospace Technologies & Industries (1995-1997), He is a fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineers, Institution of Engineers India, Aeronautical Society of India, Indian Institute of Metals, NDT Society of India, and Indian Society for Advancement of Materials and Process Engineering.
